Spreading Love and Joy Across the World

Looking back at this past month, we at Heightened Hearts are reminded of some of the moments that our foundation has experienced over the past few years that have filled us with boundless feelings of love and hope. In today’s post, we’re asking that you take a moment to join us in doing the same.

Where does the feeling of love come from? Is it from material gain? A powerful position? From isolating oneself off from others, only looking out for one’s own best interests? We believe that the answer to this is a resounding NO. In our experience, and perhaps this is true for you, we find love in the moments of connection with other people – through sharing the bounty of our own lives with those living with an empty pitcher. By opening ourselves to the needs and feelings of others, by being vulnerable, and by creating moments of shared joy, we each have the capacity to build bridges to meaningful relationships with those most in need.

So what does this look like in action? At our foundation, we have started this work by focusing on the immediate needs that so many people face across the world. It’s impossible for people to reach their fullest potential when they are sick, hungry, and cold. But it is still possible to feel and to receive love. In our work to feed, clothe, and shelter some of the most vulnerable people, we embed our message of love into all of our actions. We are not simply “giving charity” – we are instilling hope. We are creating joy. We are planting the seeds that, with ongoing nourishment, will grow and bloom into plants that can further our message in the coming years.

It starts with giving. Everything we do, all of the families we help, is directly impacted by your support. We cannot emphasize enough how important it is that we continue this work. If you feel inspired by our message, if you know you have love in your heart to give to others, now is the time to get involved. Supporters like you drive the success of our work. Without you, we have less ability to spread the joy and hope needed to do some good on this planet.

We know in our hearts that the work we have done, while so impactful, is just the tip of the iceberg. For every family we help, we discover multiple others who are also in need. Every time we clothe a child, we know the time will come when those items no longer fit, when they become worn out. For each home repair we complete, we know every winter will bring more maintenance needs to keep out the cold. This movement is ongoing, and the people of the world need it.
